Professional Experience

Experience Across Disciplines

My career has moved across science, business and corporate development, asset evaluation and due diligence, intellectual property, R&D, technology, program and portfolio management, and strategy—across different organizations, roles, and kinds of problems.

Each chapter brought new responsibilities and perspectives, while building on what came before. Together, these experiences have shaped how I understand organizations, evaluate opportunities, navigate uncertainty, and approach complex decisions.

Planning Across Complexity

BIOGEN

R&D Program Planner

At Biogen, my work focuses on R&D program and portfolio planning, bringing together timelines, resources, financial information, and risks to support program execution and decision-making.

Beyond day-to-day planning, I've contributed to initiatives aimed at improving how planning information is structured, connected, and used—including portfolio reporting, analytics, and resource management.

Building Something of My Own

MY PRACTICE

Verihdian

Verihdian is my independent consulting practice, built on the experience and perspectives I've accumulated across disciplines, industries, and organizations.

Through my practice, I work at the intersection of program and portfolio management, technology, and business analytics—helping organizations connect information, improve processes, and develop practical solutions to complex operational challenges.

It is also an opportunity to pursue something I value: the freedom to explore problems, challenge assumptions, and build solutions that reflect my own judgment and approach to work.

OTSUKA

Project Manager, Business Development

At Otsuka, I worked across global business development, asset evaluation, and due diligence, bringing together scientific, clinical, financial, and strategic perspectives to assess partnership and investment opportunities.

My work involved coordinating cross-functional teams, supporting senior leadership decisions, and improving how opportunities moved through evaluation and governance. I also created a stage-gate process for due diligence, providing a structured approach to evaluating evidence, identifying outstanding questions, and determining whether opportunities were ready to advance.

The experience reinforced something that has remained important throughout my career: sound decisions require more than good information. They also depend on how evidence is interpreted, challenged, and brought together across different perspectives.

Evaluating Possibilities, Shaping Decisions

Turning Plans Into Operational Reality

At Zimmer Biomet, I managed strategic initiatives supporting the expansion of the company's flagship knee-replacement manufacturing operation. The work involved coordinating manufacturing, engineering, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and operations to expand production capacity while maintaining the requirements of a highly regulated environment.

My responsibilities extended from integrated planning and resource coordination to managing execution risks, resolving dependencies, and supporting operational readiness. I also led a team of engineers responsible for equipment qualification, connecting technical execution with broader manufacturing objectives.

This experience brought a different dimension to my career: translating complex plans into physical capabilities, where decisions about equipment, people, processes, and resources had direct operational consequences.
